Day 29: Mon 7 Aug: Sodertalje to Stockholm

Cycle: 43 km - Total so far: 1,369 km

Start time: 8:50am
Stop time: 12:30pm
Weather: fine and mostly sunny, 17 to 19deg

While yesterday was a bit tough today was a breeze - relatively flat, dry and mostly sunny and, the main point to keep the girls happy, it was short! Struck some bike path works about 8km from our hotel that took a bit of creative navigating to get around but mainly a fairly straightforward run. Some nice scenery early but once we got closer to the city, like most big cities, it got a little industrial.

Our room wasn't ready so we sat around, ate our on-board lunch and caught up on some admin. When our room was finally ready at exactly the prescribed time of 3pm (we think they did it on purpose), we unpacked, did some washing, had an LLD then met up with the others, including Mick and Kate, for pre-dinner drinks (bought at our favourite Swedish bottle shop – System Bolaget). Mick and Kate’s choice for dinner which was a very flash (and expensive) restaurant on the edge of the waterway a short walk from the hotel.
