Day 15: Mon 24 Jul: Gothenburg to Stenungsund
Cycle: 54 km - Total so far: 573 km Start time: 8:25am Stop time: 1pm Weather: mostly cloudy but fine, 16 to 19deg Left the hotel under grey skies but the rain stayed away all day. The first 12km was taken up weaving around railway lines and a spaghetti junction of roadways on very good bike paths. Thanks to MapMyRide and Google Maps it was easy to navigate. The industrial part of Gothenburg seemed to go on a bit. At about 14km we hit some gravel however most of it was hard packed and good but every now and again there were loose sections. Greg suspects he could have navigated a way around it if it was any worse. At 22km we arrived at Kungalv the home of a 13th century Norwegian fort and some lovely old wooden buildings including a church. We had coffee at the cafe below the fort and then walked around a track that the very helpful cafe guy told us about.
