Day 9: Tue 18 Jul: Randers to Aalborg
Cycle: 95 km - Total so far: 345 km Start time: 7:50 am Stop time: 3pm Weather: drizzling rain for the first 5ks, then overcast and cool, 12 to 17deg The westerly wind was our constant companion, mostly from the side, sometimes from the front but rarely behind us. Apart from 20km on a fairly busy road, the rest was on either separate bike paths or rail trail with a very short section of packed gravel. A fairly tough day on an undulating route. We arrived in time to watch the end of the TDF; another win for Matthews. Dinner was supposed to be Thai, however, the restaurant was either closed or closed down. So, after another short wander we found an Italian place that looked rather fancy. After a beer and pasta and we were all ready for bed.
