Start time: 9:30am

We were looking forward to riding around Copenhagen on the bikes today but it's hard to get enthusiastic about sight-seeing when you wake up to the sound of rain on the windows. So, we took our time over breakfast and did some admin while the weather kept improving. Finally, the sun came out. So, on the bikes we hopped and away we rode, out past the airport this time. We were chasing a view of the Oresund Bridge / tunnel between Sweden and Denmark. It's a bridge from Malmo, Denmark and then becomes a tunnel under the sea to Sweden, coming up near the airport. We suspect it's done that way so it doesn't interfere with the very busy shipping lane. And the bridge would have to be so high to accommodate the really big ships it wouldn't have been practical. As the bridge is a few km off the coast the pics were a bit ordinary.
After doing some plane spotting at the end of the runway we headed off into the city. Checked out the Opera House (had our lunch in the ferry stop there), Nyhavn, the Royal Library, Markets, City Hall, to name a few. It was then time to return to base for a LLD and prepare for our return to Australia journey tomorrow.
Pre-dinner drinks were taken in the lobby again, and we then caught the driverless train into the city as it was Kate’s birthday and we had to celebrate. The restaurant they had chosen took a bit of finding, but once there, the food and service was good.
