Day 19: Fri 28 Jul: Fredrikstad
Weather: heavy rain while we were eating breakfast then fine with short
periods of sunshine during the day.
Had a little sleep in till 6:30 this morning as it's a rest day, yippeeeee! Took our time over breakfast and an extra cuppa. Wendy decided to have a real rest (head cold still persisting) day so Greg wandered off by himself initially but soon bumped into Mick and Kate at the ferry which goes from the city to the Old Town. The Old Town is actually a 17th century Fort from King Fredrik II's days on earth. Great old buildings, bridge, moat, cannon and even some goats and chook breeds from that era.
The rest of the day was spent relaxing and wandering; just what the doctor
ordered. Dinner was Mexican.
